During the pandemic

Call centre system: The NCPA’s 1929 call Centre was upgraded to handle child abuse and trafficking complaints remotely online. During the Covid pandemic period, the complaints received through the hotline were referred to the Enforcement Officers via email and/or WhatsApp messages. Sometimes both these faculties were used where appropriate.

Strengthen the Task Force

The newly established Human Trafficking, Human Smuggling, and Maritime Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigation Department is engaged in the process of calling convictions data since they are updating their database, and the details of Human Trafficking convictions are being verified.
