Training for the Members of NAHTTF

This workshop was held 7th - 9th February 2022 by IOM. It was on effectively responding to human trafficking. Delivered by Mr John McGeohan, International Thematic Specialist on counter trafficking and migrant protection & assistance.

Workshop by Voice of Migrants

On 27th July 2022 several task force members joined online and listened in at the presentation of the Strategic Focus and Activity Plan of Voice of Migrants network.

A Cluster Meeting of the Task Force

The NAHTTF frequently holds cluster meetings composed of relevant specialized organizations to address various trafficking related issues as they come up.

Finalizing the Interim Report

On 27. 11.2021 the Task Force members were gathered to the Ministry of Defence in order to discuss and finalize the Trafficking In Persons Interim Report.

Cluster Meetings

Prior to submit the Trafficking in Persons Report – 2022 to the U.S. Authorities , conducted meetings to get the views and comments from the respective stakeholders.

Meeting with Development partners

Virtual meeting was held with IOM, The Asia Foundation, Solidarity Centre, ILO, UNODC, U.S. Embassy Sri Lanka and Maldives in order to impress our works on Trafficking in Persons matters.

Presentation on “Findings of Optimizing Screening and ...

The presentation was based on findings of a study which has been conducted by Center for Poverty Analysis (CEPA) and the Asia Foundation. Further, it was showed that the Government of Sri Lanka has taken considerable measures in the provision of services(Counseling, Health, Shelter, Economic supports) for victims of violence

Frequent meetings to discuss way forward

Members of the Task Force frequently gather to discuss way forward and share good thoughts in order to implement the Anti-Human Trafficking efforts of Sri Lanka.
