TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR TRI-FORCES OFFICERS ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND SMUGGLING

A two day training programme on Human Trafficking & Smuggling for Tri-forces officers was started today (04 July 2023) at Movenpick Hotel Colombo.

It is planned to conduct series of training programmes on Human Trafficking and Smuggling in various selected areas of the Island such as Trincomalee, Galle, Kandy and Anuradhapura for Tri-Forces Officers deployed in various areas of the country.

This programme on Human Trafficking for Tri Forces Officers are conducted by identifying its necessity at this Juncture in accordance with the National Strategic Action Plan 2021-2025 on Anti-Human Trafficking and the evolving nature of Human Trafficking as a fast-growing criminal industry in the world.

All programmes are totally facilitated and conducted by the International Organizations for Migrations (IOM.
